This project involved remodelling the old headquarters of the Essex Wildlife Trust at Fingringhoe Wick, overlooking the Colne Estuary near Colchester.

The shop area was doubled in size and the office space rationalised.  Improvements were made to the entrance/ reception area.  Additional toilets and a field studies room were created within the building.

A spiral staircase, providing access to an observation tower, was refurbished and opened up in the centre of the building to create an exciting feature within the centre, using a full height glazed screen and improved lighting. The observation room overlooks tidal salt marshes and the disused quarry.
